Being part of the local community gives you perspective. Particularly when you’ve lived and worked in the area for as long as you can remember.
You get an idea for what works and what doesn’t. Where’s good and where’s not so good, basically. Properties, streets, pockets, cafes, restaurants, fresh-food and farmers’ markets, right down to where’s good to take the dog for a run.
Beyond that, though, like any other local, we regularly like to get behind community-building initiatives and help share the diversity and vibrancy the local area and wider suburbs have to offer with the rest of Melbourne.
